Joe Biden: Pass Obama’s stimulus bill or somebody is going to get raped

Obama wants to stay the course: more stimulus spending

Is stimulus spending reducing unemployment?

UPDATE: Welcome, visitors from Doug Ross @ Journal!

The title of this post is just my snarky paraphrase of what he said, he didn’t say exactly that.

Human Events covers the story, here are the videos:

Here’s the text:

It was on Tuesday during a speech at the University of Pennsylvania where Biden initially argued that another round of government spending was needed to prevent sexual assaults.  “It’s not temporary [administration’s proposed stimulus] when that 911 call comes in and a woman’s being raped, if a cop shows up in time to prevent the rape.  It’s not temporary to that woman.”  Then in the same speech he wished Republicans were themselves rape victims.  “I wish they had some notion of what it was like to be on the other side of a gun, or [to have] a 200-pound man standing over you, telling you to submit.”

And here’s how he responded to this Human Events reporter:

Here’s the text:

Vice President Joe Biden now says he didn’t make a reference to rape, and got testy with HUMAN EVENTS when we asked if he would like to retract his comments that the number of sexual assaults would increase if Republicans don’t sign on to Barack Obama’s latest “jobs” proposal.

“I didn’t use, no no no…Let’s get it straight, guy. Don’t screw around with me,” Biden lashed out at HUMAN EVENTS.  Then Biden confirmed that he indeed did talk about rape in terms of the President’s spending measure. “Murder will continue to rise, rape will continue to rise, all crimes will continue to rise,” if the Democrats agenda isn’t passed, he added.

[...]The exchange between the vice president and HUMAN EVENTS was taken on Wednesday after Biden gave a speech calling for yet another government stimulus program.  This one is union-backed, and aimed at getting teachers and public-sector employees back to work.

I’m wondering if these provocative comments by Vice President Joe Biden are some sort of threat. Because I’m familiar with union thuggery, so this would not be a stretch at all. Obama’s advocated violence before, too.

This isn’t the first time that Joe Biden has committed a gaffe.

Excerpt:

According to multiple sources, as reported by the liberal PoliticoRepresentative Mike Doyle (D-PA) was delivering a spittle-flecked rant about Republicans, and the Vice President of the United States decided to chime in:

“We have negotiated with terrorists,” an angry Doyle said, according to sources in the room. “This small group of terrorists have made it impossible to spend any money.”

Biden, driven by his Democratic allies’ misgivings about the debt-limit deal, responded: “They have acted like terrorists.”

How do you negotiate with someone like that?

Union thuggery, you mean Alinsky tactics. Of course it’s Alinsky!!! It’s Catholic Joe Biden and Alinsky trained Obama, not to mention the background training Obama had from his father’s friends before he even got to Alinsky! This is not rhetoric, this is not hyperbole, this is Alinsky. This is Rules for Radicals. The manual Alinsky dedicated to Lucifer that the Catholic Church adopted as a training manual for priests. Is it communist, yes. In a 1972 Playboy Interview Sol Alinsky stated, “Anyone who tells you he was active in progressive causes in those days (1930′s) and never worked with the Reds (communists) is a Gd-damned liar. There plattform stood for all the right things and unlike many liberals they were willing to put their bodies on the line.”

Alinsky’s organizations branch out from the Industrial Arius Fund, which Alinsky called a “school for professional radicals.” and has been run by an ex-seminarian, Edward T. Chambers, since Alinsky’s died in 1972.

    From there we get Acorn.

    We get The Midwest Academy.

We get the radical revolutionary group Students for a Democratic Society (SDS) which David Horrowitz says teaches , “radical activists tactics of direct action, targeting, confrontation, and intimidation.”

We get People Improving Communities Through Organizing (PICO) –which also happens to be the Latino word for the male genitalia- founded in 1972 by Father John Baumann, a Jesuit priest trained in Alinsky’s techniques.

We get Direct Action and Research Training Institute (DART) which according to David Walls, “is strictly congregation-based community organization [and]… conducts five-day orientation trainings for community leaders and has a four-month training program for organizers.”

We get Gamaliel Foundation, founded in 1968 in Chicago “to be a powerful network of grass-roots, interfaith, interracial, multi-issue organizations working together to create a more just and more democratic society.” and its executive director is Gregory Galluzzo, a former Jesuit priest, so of course the mission is what? “refocusing its efforts on wider metropolitan areas and assessing how to impact national policy on immigration reform,” national policy on immigration reform?!! Well why not? The website talks about it’s connection with President Obama when Obama worked for the Developing Communities Project.

Have I made my point yet?

A group called Catholic Democrats published a work entitled “The Catholic Case for Obama” in which they said Obama “received support in his community-organizing work for Chicago from the Archdiocese of Chicago and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops through the Campaign for Human Development [the Catholic funding arm of all these Alinsky spin-offs].”

Obama said himself in an interview with Catholic Digest “I got my start as a community organizer working with mostly Catholic parishes on the Southside of Chicago that were struggling because the steel plants had closed. The Campaign for Human Development helped fund the project and so, very early on, my career was intertwined with the belief in social justice that is so strong in the Church.”

This is where Biden and Obama are coming from, as conservatives it is sometimes quite difficult to wrap our head around how these guys really think, but if we dismiss his statements as nonsensical we are misreading our enemy. We need to identify these statements as pertaining to a worldview with a specific agenda and have an answer for them.
